500 _aThe purpose of this work is to simulate the process of stretching the aluminium profile using the ABAQUS/CAE software and the finite element method. This problem is relevant for many parts of the agricultural technology, automobile and aerospace industry and the choice of their optimal values is very difficult, since it depends on many factors. The research methods used in the past were based on an empirically-intuitive basis. The main content of the presented work includes numerical modelling with a detailed description of the sequential operations undertaken to achieve the optimum value of springback. In the process of searching for the optimum value of springback of the material, the use of the ABAQUS/CAE software made it possible to visualize the presented process by the example of an aluminium alloy, to perform a number of experiments with different distances and stretching angles. The use of such a modelling system for details of the aerospace industry will significantly reduce the number of experiments, and, consequently, reduce the costs of conducting them.
